John,

If you got the flash flood warning on your phone this week or saw the videos of New Yorkers wading through waist high flood waters in subway stations, then you know the truth:

NYC’s infrastructure is not ready for the climate crisis.

Decades of disinvestment in our infrastructure and the reality of a changing climate means that stronger storms and devastating flooding like this week are on track to get worse.

If you’re with me in the fight to make climate resiliency a top priority for NYC’s government, can you chip in to help us win in November? [[link removed]]

It doesn't take an audit to know that we must get to work ASAP on speeding up climate resiliency, investing in our aging infrastructure, and starting long term risk assessments to prepare for future storms.

That’s what I have committed to do as Comptroller -- and we’ve laid out detailed plans to speed up our capital projects, create green bonds to fund resiliency infrastructure, and hold the City accountable to timely progress on climate adaptation.

That’s the work ahead of us, and I’m eager to get started. Tomorrow is the first fundraising deadline of our general election, and we have to show the strength of the movement behind us. Please if you’re able, can you chip in $10 today? [[link removed]]

Thank you,

Brad
