Do you know how many Republicans voted for the American Rescue Plan in the Senate?

Zero.

And Mitch McConnell wants everyone to know it. See for yourself:

“Well, it passed on a straight party line vote. Not a single member of my party voted for it. So you’re gonna get a lot more money. I didn’t vote for it. But you’re gonna get a lot more money.”

You know, he’s right. Thanks to the American Rescue Plan, our communities are getting the support they need to tackle this public health and economic crisis.

I worked hard to ensure that Wisconsin would receive more than $4 million in this relief package to fight COVID variants and keep folks safe — and helped secure critical funding so that independent restaurants could stay in business and keep our economy moving.

Soon, working families will start to receive child tax credits that will help cut child poverty in half. And on top of that, the American Rescue Plan secured over $579 million in funding to help early childhood educators and family child care providers keep their doors open here in Wisconsin, and help parents, especially mothers, get back to work.

Thanks to the American Rescue Plan, folks are getting vaccinated, our businesses are reopening, our kids are back in school, and we’re finally getting our economy back on track. But we can’t let McConnell reclaim the majority and block all our progress now.

So, I’m humbly asking you to chip in toward our work to protect and expand our 50-50 majority in the Senate. Thanks in advance.
