Summer is usually a time for relaxing, but there’s so much work to be done. I’ve been focused on healthcare legislation because I know that too many Americans lack the care they need.

Here’s a peek of what I’ve been working on:

🌳 Dealing with allergies? You’re not alone. More than 50 million Americans suffer from the symptoms that come with seasonal allergies. I introduced H.R. 4114 to lower the barrier to comprehensive diagnostic treatment. You shouldn’t have to go broke to figure out what you’re allergic to.

🔬I joined forces with Sen. Elizabeth Warren to sponsor legislation that provides the National Institute of Health and the Food and Drug Administration an additional $100 billion in supplemental funding for research over the next 10 years. Healthcare is a right, not a privilege.

💉Insulin costs kill thousands of people every year. Millions of Americans live with diabetes, incurring thousands of dollars in debt just to buy the medicine they cannot live without. I’m supporting the Insulin Access for All Act, which eliminates the cost sharing requirement for insulin under Medicare and Medicaid, alleviating financial strain for Americans with diabetes.

Every person has the right to affordable and accessible healthcare. We need to keep up the fight to ensure that medical expenses aren’t keeping people from getting the care they desperately need. Will you chip in and join the fight?
