John,
We have a once-in-a-generation chance to make bold investments in our future. But Republicans, and some moderate Democrats, are trying to cut in half the tax increases on the rich and corporations proposed by President Biden.
Starting Monday, we’re preparing to drive calls into key Senate offices to ensure we have the 50 votes necessary―through budget reconciliation―to make the rich and corporations pay at least $4 trillion in taxes over 10 years. The more they pay their fair share, the larger the investments we can make.
Things are expected to move fast when the Senate returns to Washington, DC next week and we need your help.
Donate today to get us up on the phones, calling key Senate offices, and make sure the rich and corporations pay at least $4 trillion more in taxes.
It’s time to end our rigged tax system and demand the rich and corporations start paying their fair share.
Thank you,

John,
As soon as the Senate returns to Washington, DC next week, Democratic leadership will begin whipping the votes to ensure they have the 50 necessary to pass President Biden’s and the American people’s budget priorities.
We’re fighting to ensure that the budget resolution will make the rich and corporations start paying their fair share in taxes―at least $4 trillion more over ten years.
This includes raising the corporate tax rate to 28%; treating wealth like work so the super-rich don’t pay a lower tax rate on their investments than workers pay on their wages; closing loopholes to stop corporations from outsourcing jobs and shifting profits to offshore tax havens; and cracking down on tax cheats through increased IRS enforcement.
Because we have zero margin for error, we’re preparing to make calls into key Senate offices next week to build a groundswell of support and ensure we have every Democratic Senator on our side.
Can you power our calls with a donation today? We need to raise the funds this weekend in order to start the calls on Monday.
For decades, our tax system has been intentionally rigged to benefit the rich and corporations.
A recent investigative report by ProPublica found that the 25 wealthiest Americans paid a paltry tax rate of just 3.4% on how much their wealth increased between 2014 and 2018. And many of these billionaires paid $0 in federal income taxes in several of those years.[1]
At the same time, 55 of the largest corporations paid $0 in taxes in 2020―thanks in part to the Trump-GOP tax scam.[2]
It’s up to us to demand the wealthy and corporations pay at least $4 trillion more in taxes over the next decade. When they do, we’ll begin building an economy that rewards work over wealth―and puts working people first.
Donate today to help drive calls into critical Senate offices and ensure we have the 50 votes necessary to pass President Biden’s American Jobs and Families Plans―including raising $4 trillion from the rich and corporations over ten years.
