Kara doesn't just care about these issues too -- she's already taken action on them. She's been hard at work to deliver real, tangible policy solutions on these issues for years in the county legislature.
Real action to reverse climate change? Kara has successfully reduced the number of single-use plastics and kept contaminants out of our drinking water. Gun safety reform? Kara wrote the bill to keep firearms out of the hands of unsafe individuals in 2013.
But for far too long, federal action on these issues has been stalled or upended by bad actors in Congress including Lee Zeldin. It's time for a change and that starts right here, right now.
We need a leader in Congress with the track record of finding solutions and delivering results on the issues you care about most -- we know Kara will be that leader.
The key to making progress on all of these issues, and more, is actually quite simple: Leaders who show up for the people they're sworn to represent.
If we're going to reverse climate change and keep our beaches and communities safe, protect access to the ballot box, and implement policy to protect communities from gun violence, we all need to work together and send a representative to Congress who shares our values and will not let partisan gridlock get in the way.
