Last month, Greene paid a visit to the Holocaust Museum and issued a public apology for comparing COVID-19 mask policies to the horrors endured by Jews in Nazi Germany. Now she is under fire once again for making more Nazi-era comparisons.
In a tweet posted on Tuesday, Greene compared individuals leading vaccination efforts under the Biden administration to “medical brown shirts” -- a term used to refer to the Nazi Party militia that helped Adolf Hitler rise to power. These remarks come hot on the heels of a slew of other Nazi-era comparisons.
In just the past two months, Greene has equated the Democratic Party to the Nazi party, compared a supermarket's face-mask policy to the Nazi practice of labeling Jews with Star of David badges, and repeatedly used Holocaust comparisons to criticize face-mask mandates.
Greene's behavior is disgraceful, and it's sickening that she is more interested in stirring controversy and divisiveness than actually doing her job. All this combined with her promotion of the Big Lie and her defense of January 6 insurrectionists makes one thing clear: Marjorie Taylor Greene is one of the most dangerous lawmakers in Washington.
