The Supreme Court Deals A New Blow To Voting Rights, Upholding Arizona Restrictions -- NPR

Voting rights are under attack like never before, John.

In state legislatures across the country, Republicans have introduced a record-breaking number of bills this year to restrict the right to vote. After losing the White House, Senate, and House last election, they're resorting to changing the rules in order to win. And the Supreme Court just ruled in their favor.

Last week, the Supreme Court upheld two restrictive Arizona voting laws, gutting what remained of the crucial Voting Rights Act. It's now easier for lawmakers to restrict access to the ballot box for millions of Americans.

We need Congress to take action to protect the right to vote before it's too late. Add your name to join Kim in the fight to pass voting rights protections →

In Congress, Kim is fighting back against voter suppression to ensure that every American can make their voice heard. She joined her House colleagues in helping pass the John R. Lewis Voting Rights Act and the For the People Act to prevent discrimination, end partisan gerrymandering, provide automatic voter registration, increase ballot box access, and so much more.

But with the new Supreme Court ruling making it easier to attack the right to vote, it's more important than ever that sweeping voter protection legislation gets signed into law -- before it's too late.

If you agree, add your name to stand with Kim and join her in the fight to protect the right to vote.
