The Hill: Biden administration seeks reversal for deported veterans

I commend the Biden administration for taking the important first step to track down veterans who have been deported and provide them a pathway to citizenship. This is a crucial part of undoing the tremendous harm that Donald Trump inflicted on immigrants and their families over the past 4 years.

But let's be clear, John, we must do more. That's why I am leading the fight to decriminalize immigration. Family separation, immigrant detention, and border militarization all stem from the racist idea that immigration is a crime. No one should be criminalized for seeking a better future.

John, I am determined to pave a pathway to citizenship for all undocumented people in this country. Progressive House members like AOC and the rest of the Squad have joined me, but we need every Democrat on board. That's why I need to hear from you today:
