Last week, the Supreme Court upheld two voter suppression laws from Arizona and gutted what remains of the Voting Rights Act.

President Biden recently said: In a span of just eight years, the Court has now done severe damage to two of the most important provisions of the Voting Rights Act of 1965 -- a law that took years of struggle and strife to secure.

We’ll be honest, we’re disappointed. The Supreme Court's conservative majority has shown us once again that they don't care about voting rights. But you can bet this decision won’t stop us from continuing to fight for the freedom to vote and for every vote to count equally!

Eric Holder recently Tweeted: Our electoral system is under partisan attack — and today’s decision demonstrates that the right to vote will not be protected by this Court. Congress must pass the For the People Act and the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act to mitigate the damage done by this case.

The A.G. is right: We must double down on our fight to pass federal election reform legislation and continue to battle voter suppression and gerrymandering in states across the country. The alternative is losing our democracy altogether. And we simply refuse to let that happen.

So, John, will you respond to the Supreme Court's disastrous ruling by recommitting to the battle for voting freedom? We've never needed you more than we do right now.
