Time is short to make this happen? ? ? ? ? Friend ?

We've been granted an extension on our Summer Membership Campaign. Now, all membership gifts will be triple matched through the end of July. [link removed]

In June we fell short of our $100,000 goal. This extension is a big deal, and this is our make or break moment. Last month was the hottest June on record in North America. Buildings collapsed, heat-related deaths soared, and wildfires spread out of control. Even the ocean burned.

Not only did this June make the effects of the worsening climate crisis increasingly clear, but elevated the need for a transformational package of investments centered on clean energy, climate, and environmental justice.

Time is short to make this happen. Your membership contribution will go directly towards campaigns in swing states and districts across the country. It'll help drive meetings with Congress on the Hill. It'll help run digital, tv, and billboard ads targeting key lawmakers. It'll rally grassroots support from around the country.

But the truth is, a vote could come very soon ? in the next few weeks ? we need to be going even bigger, and your support today determines how far we can go.

Friend ? it's not too late. Please renew your LCV membership today. A group of donors will triple match your contribution. All it takes is $5 ? [link removed]

This infrastructure and investments package might be the most important climate change legislation in history, and our shot to put our nation on the path to 100% carbon-free energy powering our electricity grid. Our shot at clean cars, buses, and buildings. Our shot at correcting decades of environmental injustice by centering the communities who have disproportionately suffered the worst impacts of the climate crisis and poor infrastructure.

Pro-environment leadership in Congress and the White House has promised to move a climate and justice-centered investments package through the reconciliation process, which only requires 50 votes to get through and would be our shot to achieve our shared goal of addressing the climate crisis.

Winning is within reach, but the problem is that the oil and gas industry only needs to peel off one vote to derail the whole bill. And last week, leaked audio of an Exxon executive revealed that this is exactly their plan.

The absolute best thing you can do right now to help push this bill forwards is this: renew your LCV membership. Right now, all it takes is $5 ? [link removed]

Friend ? thank you, for everything you do for our communities and the environment. Members like you make our work possible.
