John,

For the past 36 years, people across the United States have celebrated our natural heritage as part of National Park and Recreation Month.

During the last year and a half, we gained a new appreciation for how much our National Parks sustain our own wellbeing. More than 80 percent of adults surveyed say that these outdoor areas were essential for their mental and physical health during the COVID-19 pandemic.

That’s why, this National Park and Recreation Month, I want to know which National Park is your favorite and why you enjoy spending more time outdoors.

As a member of the Natural Resources Committee, I’m constantly working to support and improve our National Parks. Our parks can help improve our mental and physical health, provide ecological services including wildlife habitats, and preserve important cultural and historic landscapes. I hope you will join me and celebrate this National Park and Recreation Month by getting outside and enjoying all that our parks have to offer.

Thank you,

Jared Huffman
