It took everything we had to beat Donald Trump last November, but there are many Trumpists who want to take his place. A spat of pro-Trump candidates recently jumped into governor’s races, each one worse than the last:

  • Dan Cox, Maryland: Attended and arranged for buses to the rally that fed the January 6th insurrection and storming of the Capitol.
  • Geoff Diehl, Massachusetts: Illegally attended a maskless fundraiser with Steven Bannon during a month when over 70,000 Americans died from COVID-19.
  • Alan West, Texas: Was forced to retire from the Army after being charged in an incident that involved the beating and mock execution of an Iraqi policeman.
  • Paul LePage, Maine: Vetoed a bill banning conversion therapy for minors and opposed legislation protection transgender students.

Trumpism has spread rampant throughout the Republican party. If we don’t rise up against the ideology, we could have Trump loyalists in governors’ mansions throughout the country.
