Six months ago this week, Trump and his allies incited an attempted coup.
Among the insurrection’s foot soldiers were passionate Trump supporters
whose minds had been poisoned by the Far Right’s lies and conspiracy
theories. Still, many were white supremacists who would burn American
democracy to the ground rather than share it with Black people, other
voters of color, and progressives.

To this day, the GOP is allowing itself to be led by the motives,
grievances, and alternate reality promoted constantly by Trump and his
loyalists, as well as the racist and authoritarian groups that helped
organize the insurrection.

Those extremist groups continue to plot and recruit … Far-right leaders
continue to spread the Big Lie that the 2020 election was stolen from
Trump … Republicans in Congress continue to downplay the January 6 Capitol
insurrection and try to obstruct investigations into the attack…  

We’re fighting to support investigations into January 6 to make sure we
can prevent the next deadly act of insurrectionist violence. And we’re
fighting to hold insurrectionists and the political leaders who incited
and cover for them ACCOUNTABLE, including at the ballot box.
