Dear John,

Ottawa’s budget watchdog smells another gun policy boondoggle brewing and you need make sure your neighbours know what’s happening.

The Trudeau government is banning certain firearms and using your tax dollars to reimburse gun owners.

The Parliamentary Budget Officer says the gun grab could cost $756 million. That’s over $500 million more than what the Liberal Party told voters it would cost during the last election.

It gets worse. The government and PBO don’t know the full costs. Neither could figure out the most expensive element: the cost of all those government bureaucrats managing the program.

This buyback program will end up being another failed gun control policy. Remember the long gun registry? That was supposed to cost $2 million. It ended costing more than $2 billion ([link removed]) .

The Canadian Taxpayers Federation’s supporters defeated the long gun registry. And we will need your help to put an end to Trudeau’s gun grab before it becomes another taxpayer boondoggle.

Please make sure you’ve signed our petition and share it with your friends and neighbours. Here’s the PETITION: www.taxpayer.com/petitions/scrap-the-gun-ban-and-buy-back ([link removed])

Trudeau’s gun buyback won’t do anything to make Canadians safer, but it will inflate your tax bill. That’s why we need your help to stop it.

“It diverts extremely important personnel, resources, and funding away from addressing the more immediate and growing threat of criminal use of illegal firearms,” said the National Police Federation.

Thanks for standing up for taxpayers – it’s making a difference!

Sincerely,
* Kevin, Todd, Shannon and the rest of the CTF team.
