Join us in Washington, D.C. on July 13th for the Care Can’t Wait day of action that includes the Care Is Essential march and the Communities of Care launch event , featuring speakers, a tour of an interactive art installation, food trucks, live music and more.
This event is one of 40 actions taking place across the country on the same day as part of a national day of action led by care workers and consumers demanding a national jobs and recovery plan that benefits us all.

9:00am - 11:00am —Care Is Essential Rally & March from the Capitol to Freedom Plaza
11:00am – 2:00pm —Ribbon-cutting Ceremony for “Communities of Care” art installation at Freedom Plaza, with live music performances, testimonies from care workers and families, and more.

About the Care Is Essential March
The Care Is Essential march will include homecare, child care and nursing home workers joining together to march from Congress to Freedom Plaza to educate the public about the need for a $400 billion investment in home and community based services to strengthen the care workforce.
About the “Communities of Care” Art Installation
We will end the march at Freedom Plaza with a ribbon-cutting ceremony to launch a new art installation featuring portraits of family caregivers and care workers with the individuals they provide care for. The launch will include remarks from care workers, and more.
