Dear Colleague,

The UN expert charged with promoting LGBT issues said that being able to change one's sex based on subjective feelings is a "fundamental principle" of human rights law. He heavily attacked Hungary for banning the promotion of LGBT issues to children and said teachers need to be able to talk to children about their sexual orientation. Stefano Gennarini, J.D., reports [[link removed]].

Stefano Gennarini also gives a summary of the most interesting debates about life and family at the ongoing 47th session of the Human Rights Council. This can be found on our Turtle Bay blog [[link removed]].

The U.S. and others have signed an international compact on advancing women’s rights in the context of conflict and humanitarian crises. Unfortunately, the language of the compact will be used to promote abortion and controversial gender ideologies in contexts where people’s basic needs are already greatest. Rebecca Oas, Ph.D., reports [[link removed]].

Be brave and remain hopeful.

Yours faithfully,

Lisa Correnti

Executive Vice President
