Crews are still putting the finishing touches on the amphitheater at the new Oswego Entertainment Venue at 1010 Station Drive, but our calendar of events is already jam-packed with fun for the Oswego community. Aug. 27: VetFest, featuring country duo LOCASH

VetFest comes to the new Oswego Entertainment Venue Aug. 26-29, and our residents have first dibs on tickets for the headlining act, LOCASH! The country duo topped the charts with 'I know Somebody' and 'One Big Country Song.' Get tickets before they go on sale this Friday to the general public at www.vetfest141.org, using code GoOswego.
VetFest is a four-day event with a portion of proceeds benefitting local veterans organizations. Check out Johnny Cash tribute The Man in Black starring Shawn Barker on Thursday evening with opening act Hillbilly Rock Starz. Popular Chicago-area rock band 7th Heaven will close out the festivities on Sunday, with more music announcements expected soon. A carnival will also provide fun for all ages. July 17: Sojourn Rocs takes you on a musical journey - free show!
Let Sojourn Rocs take you on a musical journey that starts in the 1960s and continues through the music of today. The band specializes in tight harmonies and great musicianship in a range of classic rock and county that makes you want to get up and dance!
Join us for a FREE all ages show in the parking lot of the Oswego Entertainment Venue, 1010 Station Drive, Oswego, on Saturday, July 17. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. The concert starts at 6:30 p.m. No tickets needed. Bring your lawn chairs and enjoy a night outdoors! Outside food and non-alcoholic beverages are welcome. Tonight: Don't miss Raya and the Last Dragon
Join us for the next movie in the park, Raya and the Last Dragon, tonight at the new Oswego Entertainment Venue.
Movies in the Park are free, and no registration is required. Spots are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Bring your own lawn chairs for outdoor seating, which will be in the parking lot in front of the big screen, or watch drive-in style from the comfort of your car.
Food and beverage vendors will be on site, or bring your own food and drinks. All movies begin at twilight, between approximately 8:45 and 9:05 p.m. Entry starts at 6 p.m. Get details at GoOswego.org.

The originally scheduled Coffee with the Mayor has been rescheduled to Saturday, July 31, due to inclement weather. Join the Village of Oswego and Village President Troy Parlier at the Well 11 Water Tower for a special edition of Coffee with the Mayor with Village President Troy Parlier to learn about the operations and future of our community's water supply.
This is a free event and open to all residents. Coffee with the Mayor will be held at 9 a.m. on Saturday, July 31 at the Well 11 Water Tower, 6701 Tuscany Trail, Oswego. An RSVP to Community Engagement Coordinator Julie Hoffman at [email protected] or 630-551-2344 is requested to help staff accommodate everyone.
Next round of brush collection begins July 12 in Zone A
Put your brush at the curb by 7 a.m. on Monday morning for collection. Collection in Zone B begins July 19. Find details on what's accepted and a map of zones on our Brush page.
The Village of Oswego has contracted D Construction, Inc. for several road resurfacing projects throughout Oswego during the months of July and August. All work is scheduled to be completed by mid-August. Residents on affected streets will need to move their vehicles from the streets and may not have access to their driveways while concrete is curing. Check to see if your street is on the list and learn more about a more sustainable paving method being used in test spots around town. Learn more.
The underground aquifer that supplies Oswego with our drinking water is rapidly depleting. All summer long, the Oswego Village Board will be discussing the future of how we will get water for generations to come. Join us for the next installment of this conversation, a presentation about Conservation Measures, during the Committee of the Whole meeting at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, July 13. The Oswego Cultural Arts Commission celebrates women in the arts with the return of LUNAFEST, a fundraising film festival of shorts by and about women, plus live artisan demonstrations and light brunch snacks on Sunday, Aug. 8, in Oswego. LUNAFEST is a fundraising film festival dedicated to promoting awareness about women's issues, highlighting women filmmakers, and bringing people together in their communities to engage in the arts.
This unique film festival includes seven short films by lauded women filmmakers who have earned Emmy nominations, Peabody awards, and recognition at Manhattan Film Festival, SXSW, Sundance and more. See the full line-up and buy tickets now!
