Mitch McConnell admitted what we already know: The $1.9 trillion American Rescue Plan helped struggling states, municipalities, and families through direct economic relief — and not a single Republican in the House or Senate voted for it.

Not a single Republican voted to help struggling small businesses. Not a single Republican voted to extend unemployment benefits for the millions of Americans out of work. Not a single Republican voted to send tens of millions of Americans $1,400 survival checks.

Democrats stood together to unilaterally rescue our economy and deploy hundreds of millions of vaccine doses towards ending the COVID-19 pandemic — and we’ll keep making progress for as long as we have our majorities.
