BREAKING NEWS: Cuomo declares NY state of emergency to address surge in gun violence.
John,
Yesterday, New York Governor Andrew Cuomo issued an executive order declaring a disaster emergency on gun violence in the state – the first of its kind in the nation.
With 2021 on track to be the deadliest year for gun violence in recent memory, this is the kind of decisive action that we desperately need from lawmakers across the United States. Will you help us thank Governor Cuomo and New York lawmakers for their historic action?

New York is setting the standard for gun violence prevention in the nation, and we want to make sure other states follow suit. This executive order will allocate 139 million dollars toward gun violence prevention efforts and a landmark bill signed at the same time will make it easier to hold gun manufacturers, distributors, and dealers responsible when they choose to profit over people.
We are so thankful for Governor Cuomo’s decisive action against gun lobby corruption and his commitment to saving lives from gun violence, join us in supporting him today!
