When it comes to finding solutions to the challenges we face here in Iowa, where we begin is important, and that means starting by being bold about the basics: good schools, good jobs, and good opportunities for all Iowans to thrive.

Iowa can once again have the best schools in the nation, if we prioritize taking care of students and families, and valuing educators.

We can ensure that all Iowans have the opportunity to start looking past the next paycheck and start planning for the next generation. Let’s start moving folks from $15 an hour to $50,000 a year.

If we help our farmers invest in resilient agriculture practices, we will empower them to become the solution to climate change and give rural Iowa a chance to thrive in the 21st Century.

These are basic, but some would say bold, ideas. I believe every Iowan deserves these, and as your next Governor, I’ll work as hard as I can, day in and out, to make it happen.
