Last month was the hottest on record in North America. Last week, the waters of the Gulf of Mexico caught fire after a gas pipeline ruptured. 

We can’t afford to wait any longer to address the climate crisis. It’s time for our leaders to meet the moment and start delivering solutions. 

Right now, Congress is considering President Biden’s American Jobs Plan -- an unprecedented investment in clean energy and environmental justice. Over the coming days, it will be on us to ensure that Democrats remain steadfast in their commitments on climate.

Even as a bipartisan, watered down infrastructure bill comes to a vote this month, Senate Democrats are moving forward with an ambitious reconciliation package to implement President Biden’s American Jobs Plan. Whatever they do, however they do it -- climate must be part of the equation, and with your help we can get it over the finish line.

If passed, the American Jobs Plan would create a new Civilian Climate Corps, implement a national clean energy standard, replace all lead pipes nationwide, and eliminate tax subsidies for fossil fuel corporations.

We can’t waver on our demand that Senate Democrats pass big, bold climate legislation that fully funds President Biden’s vision to revolutionize our clean energy economy.
