I met with top NYPD leadership recently, and I called into Cavuto Live on Fox News to raise the alarm on this massive surge we’re seeing in violent crime.

 

I was a federal prosecutor for 20 years before coming to Congress. I have NEVER seen law enforcement more demoralized.

 

The “Defund the Police” radicals have constrained our police. Criminals are emboldened.

This surge in lawlessness isn’t just happening in NYC. It’s happening in major cities all across the country. And in the end, this crisis impacts all of us.

 

Our police need resources to execute effective approaches like community policing. They need STRONG LAW AND ORDER POLITICAL LEADERSHIP that supports them.

 

The left doesn’t want “reform” of police departments. They want to DISMANTLE them. We must stand united against this extreme and dangerous agenda.
