Tell the DC Council to fund life-saving violence prevention and intervention programs >>

SEND MY MESSAGE

John,

Too many people are being killed and wounded by guns in DC.

The Judiciary Committee just sent the DC Council budget recommendations that include funding for violence intervention and prevention programs—which have been proven to reduce gun violence.

These recommendations include:

  • Hiring additional violence interrupters
  • Supporting the Cure the Streets program, which employs street outreach workers who actively mediate conflict and prevent retaliatory violence
  • Expanding trauma-informed mental health services
  • Funding alternative dispatch programs

These programs save lives. Send a message to members of the DC Council to support the Judiciary Committee's budget recommendations to fund these programs >>

Thanks for taking action!
