BREAKING: The Supreme Court rules in favor of Arizona voting restrictions
I am frustrated, friend.
Last week the conservative majority on the Supreme Court upheld Arizona’s voting restrictions. These restrictions make it harder to vote, and this decision sends a message to conservative lawmakers across the country: it is open season on voting rights.
In 2013, the Supreme Court gutted the Voting Rights Act of 1965. Last week’s decision destroyed almost all that was left of it.
This partisan decision is an attack on voters of color and low-income voters who once again are the targets of voter suppression. This decision is undemocratic and unpopular — the majority of Americans oppose these extreme voting restrictions.
The fight gets harder, but we cannot stop now.
I will never stop fighting voter suppression, but I need your support. Donate $25 or whatever you can to my campaign and help me fight to protect our right to vote >>>
