Rural communities all over the country are in dire need of better broadband, including our neighbors right here in NY-19.
Reliable and affordable high-speed internet for all Americans is a necessity that has become
extremely evident during the pandemic.
That’s why I’ve introduced various legislation on broadband that would enable better broadband mapping, require faster speeds, and ensure we close the digital divide that continues to plague far too many communities across America.
If we don’t expand broadband to our rural communities, the digital divide will continue to persist and perpetuate deep inequities which have no place in a society genuinely committed to equal opportunity for all.

Millions of Americans don’t have reliable and affordable internet connection -- it’s simply unacceptable.
Folks are working from home now more than ever before and need the internet to effectively do their jobs. There are countless students taking online classes -- students we saw struggle to connect throughout the entire pandemic. Our small businesses in rural areas continue to face the hardships that come with a lack of affordable, reliable broadband. Plus, our seniors struggle to access much needed care via telemedicine.
We need your help to ensure our children, small business owners, farmers, seniors, and families working from home have access to high-speed internet. It’s on us, friend.
