Friend – here are a few short, but important updates for you.
Justin Trudeau and our Liberal team are moving forward with important progress for Canadians and I wanted to share some of the latest with you!
Last week, Canada’s Net-Zero Emissions Accountability Act received royal assent – an important step as we continue the work to fight climate change and achieve net-zero emissions by 2050. Just a few days ago, our Liberal government also announced a significant expansion of the Canada Workers Benefit to support nearly 1 million more Canadians and foster a recovery that brings everyone along. And later in July, the next payment of the Canada Child Benefit
young child supplement will help put more money in the pockets of about 1.6 million young families.
I’m so proud to be part of a team that’s building a better, stronger, and more resilient Canada – and we’re accelerating the growth of this movement in every part of Canada each day – just take a look at the numbers!
We’ve started millions of new conversations with Canadians through our Virtual Days of Action, and we’re looking for volunteers for the next ones happening on July 10 and 24! Our 2020 annual returns filed last week with Elections Canada highlight that over 64,000
Canadians chipped in last year to support Justin Trudeau and our Liberal team’s progress, with the median donation just $12.50 at a time! And to throw it back, 5 years ago last weekend we opened up our party and made it free to join. Hundreds of thousands of Canadians have joined us as Registered Liberals to help keep Canada moving forward, and there’s still much more work ahead.
This is an important moment and it’s because of support from grassroots donors that we’re able to build on our important work together and lay the foundation for the weeks and months ahead.
If you’re able, chip in today to support Justin Trudeau and our Liberal team’s work to keep Canada moving forward.
