Weigh in on Congestion Pricing - 4th Street Bridge Community Meeting -
Transit-only Lanes on Geary - Muni Route Suspension Hearing

Weigh in on Congestion Pricing - July 14, 5:30pm

As San Francisco moves toward economic recovery, traffic congestion is expected to return. There is already evidence of congestion building up at key downtown hotspots.

Join San Francisco Transit Riders and the County Transportation Authority for a discussion on the changing future of congestion pricing in response to the pandemic.

The Transportation Authority has updated the study’s policy proposals based on technical analysis and now wants feedback from riders. We'll be discussing: congestion pricing zone boundaries; price, discounts, and exemptions; and implementation timing.

4th Street Bridge Community Meeting - July 15, 5pm

Speak up to make the T faster and more reliable! The 4th Street Bridge is a major bottleneck for the T. SFMTA's temporary emergency transit-only lanes restrict southbound traffic in one of the two lanes on the bridge and have improved speed and reliability along the route.

If you live near or ride the T, we invite you to participate in an upcoming community meeting to weigh in on the project. This meeting will determine what the final project the SFMTA Board votes to approve next month.

Want to learn more about this project or take action to speed up the T? Email B Rod, our District 6 Community Organizer.

Speak up for Permanent Transit-only Lanes on Geary - July 20th, 2pm

On Tuesday July 20th at 1pm the SFMTA Board of Directors will vote to approve or reject permanent transit-only lanes on Geary Boulevard. We need riders to call-in and make your voice heard!

The 38 and 38R are two of the most popular routes in the city, but riders often face crowded and slow buses due to congestion. This project will make permanent the temporary emergency transit only lanes that have operated during the pandemic. Despite recent increases in traffic citywide, evaluation results are showing that the new transit lanes and other transit treatments have improved 38 Geary bus, with minimal traffic impacts to Geary Boulevard or parallel streets.
