During the run-up to war in Iraq, U.S. Army Colonel
(Ret.) and diplomat Ann Wright resigned her State Department post. She
was one among dozens of government insiders and active-duty military
personnel who leaked documents, spoke out, resigned, or refused to
deploy in protest of government actions they felt were illegal. In

In August 2021, World BEYOND War will be holding a weekly discussion
each of four weeks of Dissent: Voices of Conscience with the co-author
Ann Wright as part of a small group WBW book club limited to a group of
18 participants. The author will send each participant a signed
paperback copy of the book. We'll let you know which parts of the book
will be discussed each week along with the Zoom details to access the
discussions.
