Violence prevention programs include community- and hospital-based programs that approach violence as a public health problem and provide solutions including mediation, mentoring, job training, and counseling. These programs offer an approach focusing on preventing violence before it happens. Here is our fact sheet about these programs. This is an excellent funding opportunity to start a program or expand an existing one. Expert panelists will detail the success of current programs in North Carolina, and outline how ARP funding can support violence prevention programs.
