John: I am beyond thrilled to endorse Cheri Beasley to be the next U.S. Senator from North Carolina.
I’d like to take a few minutes to tell you why Cheri is the candidate to flip North Carolina’s Senate seat blue (and why I need you to make a donation to help Cheri win—and protect our razor-thin Senate majority today).
To start, Cheri is a trailblazer who has spent her career serving the people of North Carolina. She was the first Black woman to serve as Chief Justice of North Carolina’s Supreme Court, and would be the third Black woman ever elected to the U.S. Senate. She’s also battle-tested: Cheri has won two statewide races in North Carolina—more than anyone else in the race.
And Democrats can win in North Carolina. Don’t just take my word for it: The non-partisan Cook Political Report calls this race a pure toss-up, and CNN named North Carolina one of the Senate seats most likely to flip in the midterms. President Biden lost North Carolina by just over one percentage point.
Mitch McConnell and Republicans are just one seat away from retaking the Senate majority. We need to invest in this race—now, when early money can make-or-break campaigns.

Cheri can win this race, but she’s up against a Trump-backed GOP opponent and a new voter suppression law working its way through the North Carolina state legislature.
