In his first fundraising period as majority leader, Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) raised an astonishing $8.3 million from January through March, easily the largest first-quarter total ever for a congressional candidate...
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) claimed the first-quarter fundraising record for House candidates, pulling in $4 million...
Pelosi swiftly put that campaign cash to work. She transferred $895,000 to the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee and $85,000 to the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee. She sent another $500,000 to House Democrats flagship super PAC, House Majority PAC, and $125,000 to the National Democratic Redistricting Committee.
