Senator Markey is one of the loudest voices for bold climate action we have in the Senate right now, so it's truly an honor to have him join us. I've actually worked with Senator Markey from the time I was fighting for the Waxman-Markey climate bill back in 2009. That bill didn't become law, but I didn't give up—and Senator Markey didn't, either.

In fact, just a few months ago, he and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez introduced the Civilian Climate Corps for Jobs and Justice Act in Congress.
