Today, I’m proud to announce that this team raised more than $1.28 million last quarter to help us flip this Senate seat, and more than 90% of those donations were $100 or less.

I’ve said from the moment we launched this campaign that we had to do things differently to win North Carolina — that we need a new kind of candidate and grassroots campaign that focuses on the hopes and needs of people in this state. And you responded in a powerful way.

Back when we launched, some said that throwing out the standard playbook wouldn’t work but I put my faith in you and the people of North Carolina.

Together, we launched this historic campaign, and soon after, Maria from New Bern chipped in $10. Then Adam in Morganton gave $25, and Janel in Fayetteville donated her $5. Everyone’s support added up, and that’s why we are able to report such a strong number.

But this is just the start, we’re going to have to keep working harder than we ever have because Republicans are willing to spend whatever it takes to hold this seat. The only chance we have to fight back is with people like Maria, Janel, Adam and you pitching in when you can.
