Friend, We hope you joined us in having a restful and rejuvenating Independence Day weekend. Of course, we’re determined to let the patriotism ride with an Out in Front episode dedicated to the least-discussed branch of our federal government: the judiciary! This week, join me, your guest host and federal courts fanatic, as I chat with a panel of speakers about what happened in this latest Supreme Court term, and what the future holds, this Thursday, July 8th, at our usual time at 5:00PM! Click here to join us on Facebook Live! As you know, it’s been a busy term for the Supreme Court. We’ve seen major decisions on the Affordable Care Act, LGBTQ+ rights, union organizing, and much, much more. In addition, we have the prospect of what could be the most significant reproductive rights case in decades on the horizon in the next term. That’s why I’m welcoming Professor Ruben Garcia from the UNLV Boyd School of Law, Karla Ramirez Reynoso, Raíz Campaign Organizer with Planned Parenthood, and our own lawyer and Game of Thrones extra, Bradley Schrager. Together, we’ll break down how the highest court ruled on labor, voting rights, healthcare, LGBTQ+ protections, and what’s at stake for the future of the federal judiciary. Take it from me, I know that Supreme Court decisions can be a little dense. That’s why I encourage you to bring your questions for our panel about any of the current, or future, cases on the docket, or even just the courts in general! Catch us right here at the usual time, this Thursday, July 8th at 5:00PM on Facebook Live. Adjourned,
