There are just three days left in our Deadline for Democracy recess action -- and we can’t slow down. Activists across the country still have 113 events left to go to keep building pressure on every senator to pass the For the People Act without letting the filibuster get in the way.

First thing: to help us finish out this recess strong, head over to our website and sign up for a nearby event in the next three days. The more folks we can turn out to events while senators are in their home states and interacting with constituents, the stronger a case we build that they need to prioritize real democracy reform.

Deadline for Democracy: June 28-July 10

No matter whether you can attend another event in the next few days or not, our work doesn’t stop this Saturday. Next week, the Senate will be back in session, and we’ll need to capitalize on all the grassroots pressure we built to hold senators’ feet to the fire and ensure they push S.1 through. That’s what the Deadline for Democracy is all about -- S.1 needs to be on the books by the end of July to ensure we have enough time to implement it before the 2022 midterms.

That means we’re still going to be pushing hard all month -- running digital ads, writing and updating policy explainers, building additional grassroots pressure, and more -- to win this fight.
