Folks — Thank you so much for making this Independence Day such a fantastic celebration. 

Our first Independence Day together again wouldn’t have been possible without all the dedicated volunteers who took the time to help out in Gary, Portage, Lake Station, Highland, and Hobart. I cannot thank our volunteers enough — their hard work and support are what keeps this campaign moving. 

One of my favorite things about our communities is how much we support each other. I love getting out into the community and talking to each and every one of you. 

Some politicians feel more at home in Washington than they do the communities they represent, but my home is right here in Northwest Indiana. 

Thank you again to all of the volunteers and all the community members who came out and made our parades this weekend such a success. Can’t wait to see you all again soon!
