For too long, Medicare and Medicaid have been under attack. And worse, Virgin Islanders have been denied full access to the benefits simply because of our territorial status.
The result? Our hospitals’ emergency rooms are the primary health care provider for one-third of our population without health insurance.
That’s unacceptable, friends. So I’m co-sponsoring bipartisan legislation in Congress to boost funding to Medicaid and Medicare.
