Nearly 400 bills to restrict voting rights have been introduced in 48 states and
22 have already passed. The For the People Act (S.1) would protect and strengthen the right to vote by answering many of these
new state voting restrictions, but its passage depends on either eliminating or
surmounting the filibuster.
