Hi there:

I have good news to share. Two prominent national voting rights groups, End Citizens United and Let America Vote, have just endorsed my re-election - calling me a "Democracy Defender."

They selected only six candidates nationwide for their first round of endorsements, choosing those who "have fought to protect the integrity of our free and fair elections across the country."

Both groups are crystal clear that the candidates they've endorsed will have very tough campaigns. That’s why I’m asking for your support today. Will you pledge your support by chipping in $5 or whatever you can right now?

They also said of me that, "Secretary Simon's Freedom to Vote Agenda will lead to automatic voter registration, pre-registration for eligible voters, true early voting, and restoration of voting rights."

I'm deeply grateful for the vote of confidence from two such important institutional fighters for voting rights and democracy.

We still have a lot of work to do together to make democracy real for everyone - and push back against unnecessary barriers to voting rights. Please help me do that by supporting my campaign. Chip in $5 or more now → [link removed]

I'll wear the "Democracy Defender" label as a badge of honor.

Steve
