Wolves in Idaho don't know the danger they're in.
New rules, now in effect, will allow hunters and trappers to kill them in droves, using barbaric tactics like tracking them down with dogs and ATVs.
More than 1,000 wolves — up to 90% of the state's population — are at risk.
But we're not standing down, and we know you won't either.

Idaho will pay out more than half a million dollars to kill wolves. Private contractors will do the dirty work, along with the rogue government program Wildlife Services, which kills wolves and other species at the behest of special interests.
Again and again, Idaho sides against those who value wolves. So we've ramped up our work to save these fierce, loyal creatures — so vital to healthy ecosystems.
We've filed an emergency petition with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service to stop the illegal mismanagement of wolves in both Idaho and Montana.
We've urged Interior Secretary Haaland and the Service's Principal Deputy Director Williams to restore Endangered Species Act protection to wolves in the northern Rockies.
And we've taken action to strip Idaho and Montana of the federal money they're given for wildlife management, since these states see their jobs as killing wildlife rather than protecting it.
Thousands of grassroots supporters are mobilizing to defend wolves from vicious attacks in Idaho and throughout the lower 48.
We can't fight the heartbreaking extinction crisis if keystone species like gray wolves aren't part of the rich, biodiverse ecosystems where they evolved.
These animals have a right to live without the constant threat of gunshots, traps and destruction.
