Dear John

Summer’s here. But despite our usually sunny dispositions it can be a challenging time for us bees. While it’s warm, we’re working overtime to stay cool and stop our hive from overheating.

And it’s not just the sun we’re feeling the heat from. Earlier this year the UK government authorised the use of a bee-harming pesticide in our countryside. Luckily it wasn't used – this time. Us bees can’t talk to politicians, so Friends of the Earth will continue to campaign to stop these nasty neonicotinoid pesticides from being allowed back in our fields.

And you can help protect us bees another way, too – with a Friends of the Earth Bee Saver Kit. Make a donation and you’ll get a kit delivered straight to your doorstep.
I'LL DONATE FOR A KIT

A Bee Saver Kit equips you with everything you need to help change our fortunes. Your Bee Saver Kit includes:

  • Wildflower seeds – to help provide vital food and habitat.
  • Bee saver guide – with tips including how to build a bee hotel.
  • Bee spotter guide – to identify us when we visit your flowers.
  • Garden planner – to help you plan a bee-friendly green space.
  • Bee postcard – to send to your loved ones.
  • Bee Saver Kit folder – to store your bee-saving materials in one place.
I'LL DONATE FOR A KIT
Even if it’s just a small patch of green space, now’s a perfect time to get out and plant some bee-friendly wildflower seeds. You’d be surprised at how much you can grow in a window box.

Your donation today will help Friends of the Earth continue its important work, including protecting us bees.

Thank you so much,

PS. It’s Don’t Step on a Bee Day this Saturday. Do your bit to help out by ordering your own Bee Saver Kit and help create a brighter future for bees.
