The Seattle Times: "U.S. Rep. Derek Kilmer helps restore civility to Congress"

Hello,

In case you missed it, The Seattle Times highlighted Derek's efforts to reform and modernize Congress!

As chairman of the Select Committee on the Modernization of Congress, Derek is making Congress work better for the American people. The first representative to ever do so. Derek is unapologetically and boldly shifting congressional culture to reward policy making and collaboration rather than partisan bickering.

In a time of historic partisan gridlock, Derek's efforts are nothing short of revolutionary. His select committee has already developed numerous recommendations for how to improve Congress, and Derek hopes to offer these final recommendations in the fall. But he isn't waiting to start implementing changes to create a more productive environment: Derek's ensured the committee has functioned in a collaborative and bipartisan manner since the beginning.

As The Seattle Times put it: "In tackling the roots of Congressional dysfunction, Kilmer and his colleagues have taken on one of the moment's greatest challenges."
