Six months ago today, we witnessed an attack that shook us to our core.

White supremacist rioters desecrated our Capitol -- and they did so at the calling of the sitting president, Donald Trump.

We were disgusted, but hardly surprised.

Trump and his Republicans have pushed dangerous lies for years. Their false crusade on voter fraud and the results of the 2O2O election only added fuel to the fire.

And over the past six months, top Republicans have done everything in their power to defend Trump’s actions and downplay this unprecedented attack on our democracy.

But make no mistake: Six months ago, Trump and his Republicans pushed our country to its breaking point -- and now, the future of our democracy depends on us rising up like never before.
