In the aftermath of the insurrection on our Capitol, numerous corporations rushed to declare that they would stop giving donations to members of Congress that opposed the certification of Joe Biden’s victory.

These companies, ones like Toyota, AT&T, Intel, and Cigna, stated that they would suspend donations to the 147 Republicans that actively fought against the peaceful transfer of power.

While they acted as if they made the decision to suspend these donations out of principle, recent Federal Election Commission fundraising disclosures show that their only concern at the moment was about profits.

That’s why it’s no surprise that Toyota, AT&T, Intel, and Cigna have resumed donations to insurrectionists Republican members of Congress who voted against certifying the election results.

We cannot allow these corporations to get away with saying one thing in public, but then just a few months later turn around and donate money to help Republicans that incited violence and attacked our democratic process.

It’s up to us to expose their hypocrisy and pressure them to stop. Sign our petition demanding all corporations, including Toyota, AT&T, Intel, and Cigna, stop giving contributions to the 147 Republicans who supported the insurrection now.

Corporations will do everything they can to influence and sway legislation that affects their bottom line, and to them, their profit is more important than democracy itself.

Their continued financial support of politicians that were actively involved with the insurrection shows they will do anything it takes to maximize their profits.

These corporations will continue to destroy our democracy in pursuit of power and profit if given the chance. We cannot let that happen.
