GOC hopes that you proudly flew the American flag and celebrated our nations’ 245th year of independence last weekend, and remembered that the 4th of July is more than great BBQ and fireworks. In the great words of Abraham Lincoln, “… our fathers brought forth on this continent, a new nation, conceived in Liberty, and dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal.”
Amid holiday celebrations, reverberations continue in the wake of San Jose’s move to slap resident gun owners with a mandate to carry liability insurance and pay new fees – GOC has been inundated with so many calls from the media that we decided to issue an official statement on the new ordinance:
“There are so many things wrong with this that it’s tough to know where to begin,” said Sam Paredes, GOC’s “Can residents of San Jose expect a door-to-door check from city inspectors asking about guns in the home? This sounds more like pre-World War II Poland than the United States.” Read the entire statement HERE.
Check out the story below from Red State on what Facebook is doing to “protect” it’s users from “extremist” groups. Given that pro 2A groups have been called “domestic terrorists” this is a frightening development. Rest assured that we will be monitoring this situation closely!
