Last month, Republicans in Congress refused to even allow debate on a major anti corruption, pro-voting rights bill. Their actions further reinforce their blatantly partisan plans to gerrymander their way to victory next year — including here in Kansas.

The redistricting process has potential to hugely impact the future course of Kansas politics, and the stakes are dangerously high — Kansas Republicans will gerrymander district lines in their favor.  Senate President Susan Wagle all but confirmed Kansas GOP intentions by saying “We can do that, I guarantee you….We can draw four Republican congressional maps.” 

 

 

 

We must act now so we do not lose seats like Representative Davids’ in the Third District to the Kansas GOP's politically motivated plans. If we mobilize early, we have a better chance at combating their efforts to rig the system against Democrats who are fighting to amplify the voices of all Kansans.
