The new infrastructure blueprint Mark Warner helped negotiate includes:
-- $110 billion to repair our roads and bridges.
-- $66 billion to modernize Amtrak and expand rail service.
-- $65 billion to deliver affordable, high-speed internet to Americans (including the 700,000 Virginians who lack access to broadband internet).
-- $48.5 billion to repair and expand public transit.
-- $47 billion to help communities like Hampton Roads harden their infrastructure against future impacts of climate change.
-- $25 billion to upgrade airports and $16.3 billion for ports — like our very own Port of Virginia.
-- $21 billion for environmental cleanup projects
The agreement also provides billions in funding to upgrade water pipes, electric vehicle infrastructure, power grids, and more.
