Six months ago, Trump-supporting terrorists attacked the Capitol.

Hours later, 65% of House Republicans voted to support the insurrectionist mob’s goal of undermining our duty to the Constitution.

Our work to safeguard our democracy in the aftermath of one of our nation’s darkest moments is far from over. But unsurprisingly, just two of my House Republican colleagues supported establishing a committee to understand why this attack happened and how to make sure it never happens again.

We will seek the truth and hold those responsible for the attack accountable. And we will never let those who have chosen again and again to abandon their oaths of office live it down.
