We know Democrats have introduced numerous pieces of legislation to defund police departments and they are working to decriminalize hard drugs across the country, but they rarely want to talk about the direct, quantifiable consequences of these actions.

 

According to the New York Times, police resignations have shot up 45% in the last year. That is unheard of, but it comes as no shock when you consider the laws working against our law enforcement officers.

 

Because of the resignation of capable police officers, the U.S. crime rate is rising, too. CNN noted a 33% increase in homicides and a 40% increase in shootings in 2020.

 

Friend, these things are NOT mutually exclusive.
