Jack xxxxxx,
The situation in Syria is only getting worse. The Kurds that Donald Trump deserted in Northern Syria are being slaughtered, and citizens on both sides of the border with Turkey have died. President Trump should feel responsible for these deaths.
Now listen up, the President has said before that we should get out of conflicts in the Middle East, and I agree with him. My son serves in the United States Air Force, and he recently returned from his deployment to the same conflict zone that I served in almost twenty years ago. This is not an issue I take lightly.
But the President’s decision to put our allies directly in harm's way is no way to end these wars.
Me and my son Keegan who currently serves in the US Air Force
Right now, US military personnel are watching their friends -- people they trained and worked alongside -- be killed by a Turkish incursion into their homeland. Beyond that, this move destabilizes an already volatile region and leaves the area ripe for ISIS to make a comeback. One hundred thousand civilians have fled their homes, and a humanitarian crisis looms.
My son still serves under this Commander in Chief. He’s signed a blank check up to and including his life to defend our country. He’s continuing a tradition passed down through three generations of our family. He deserves a commander-in-chief that is worthy of his sacrifice.
